Chef Mark Alvin Sarmiento realized his passion for cooking at a very young age. He always volunteers to cook for his siblings every time their parents are away. He pursued his love for food after graduating college when he attended The International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM). Chef Mark had his on-the-job training at Mandarin Hotel where he further honed his skills. Thereafter, he worked at Resorts World Manila then at Enderun College. In 2009, he started Cuisineros Catering with two of his friends, and a year after, he finally had his own catering company, The Tasteful Art Catering Services.

Chef Mark specializes in Filipino, Asian and European cuisine.  Aside from Tasteful Art, he also owns Garahe 25 Bar and Restaurant in Timog, and Wonder Belly in Manila.  He also participated in Appetite Wars on 2nd Avenue.
